Al H. Denson – Vice President Engineering

Denson is an energy industry executive with more than 25 years of both international and U.S.-based experience in the areas of exploration and production, engineering, acquisitions and business development. He recently has been a consultant in acquisitions and reservoir evaluations. Prior to that, Denson served as the Bolivian Country Manager and Chairman of Chaco, S.A. for the Amoco Corporation. He formed this new exploration and production company after the successful acquisition of the Bolivian national oil company. Previously, Denson held various positions with Amoco, including Vice President and Assistant Country Manager of Amoco Egypt Business Unit, Regional Engineering Manager, Acquisition Manager, Division Engineering Manager and Division Operations Manager.

Al Denson earned his B.S. and M.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Mississippi State University, and is a member of SPE.

   

Patrick Keenan – Chairman

Patrick Keenan is an oilfield services executive with thirty two years of international and US experience. He is currently President of GeoMechanics International and a founder of R2R. Immediately, prior to joining Geomechanics, International (GMI) in 2003, he served as Vice President of Business Development for the Core Laboratories group of companies. From June 1996 until July 1999 he held the position of CEO of Coherence Technology Company, Inc. (CTC), a company formed to commercialize Amoco Corporation-developed proprietary seismic interpretation software, the Coherence Cube™. Prior to joining CTC, Mr. Keenan spearheaded the introduction and growth of NUMAR Corporation's NMR wireline logging technology (MRIL™). From 1988 until March 1992 he held senior management positions at Sperry-Sun Drilling services and its parent, Baroid Corporation.

Mr. Keenan began his oil industry career in 1974 when he joined Exlog, a division of Baker Hughes, Inc., and until 1988, held various international and US-based operations, sales and marketing positions. He graduated with honors from the University of Lancaster in the United Kingdom in 1974. In 1990 he completed the Executive Management Program at the Jesse Jones School of Business at Rice University, Houston.

   

Professor Mark Zoback (Stanford University) – Partner and Chief Technology Advisor

Mark Zoback is the Benjamin M. Page Professor of Earth Sciences and Professor of Geophysics at Stanford University. He has been a Professor of Geophysics at Stanford since 1984. Prior to that, he was a research geophysicist at the U.S. Geological Survey. His principal research interests are related to the forces that act within the earth's crust and their influence on processes related to plate tectonics, earthquakes and oil and gas reservoirs. He is the author of Reservoir Geomechanics, the definitive technical reference book on that topic. He has authored, or co-authored, 250 technical publications and is editor of several books and holder of three patents. He is Fellow of the American Geophysical Union, the Geological Society of America and the American Association for the Advancement of Science and was the 2006 winner of the Emil Wiechert Medal, the highest award of the German Geophysical Society. In 1996, he co-founded GeoMechanics International (GMI), the world's leading provider of geomechanics consulting services and software for the petroleum industry and serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
